The Palestinians in Gaza reacted angrily to Naftali Bennett chairing the new Israeli government expressing their refusal to recognize the new government, emphasizing that it doesn’t differ from its predecessors in terms of Palestinian policy, as was obvious in the new president’s speech before the Knesset pledging to proceed Settlement operations in the Palestinian territories. Bennett’s government earned the confidence of the Knesset when 60 members voted in favor of the new government, while 59 deputies opposed it, ending Benjamin Netanyahu’s 12-year term as prime minister.
