New round of Russian-Ukrainian negotiations in Istanbul

Negotiations began in Istanbul, Turkey, between the Russian and Ukrainian delegations to discuss ways to reach a political consensus to put an end to the Ukrainian war that started on February 24.

The talks between the two delegations are being held at Dolma Bakhsha Palace in Istanbul, and this is the first time that the delegations of the two countries, who arrived in Turkey on Monday, meet after several rounds of video talks. Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan received the negotiators, and called them to “put an end to this tragedy.”

On March 10, in Antalya (southern Turkey), Turkey hosted the first meeting between the Russian and Ukrainian foreign ministers since the start of the Russian invasion.
