Children under five years of age in Bắc Giang who have had close contact with COVID-19 patients can now be quarantined at home as long as all pandemic prevention requirements are met, according to an urgent notice from the Ministry of Health to the northern province that is still heavy. The notice, signed by Deputy Health Minister Nguyễn Trường Sơn on Saturday, contained new medical quarantine instructions for children under 15 in the Northern Province, which has become Vietnam’s largest COVID-19 hotspot during the fourth wave. The measure aims to ensure a safe and comfortable living environment for children during the quarantine period, reduce the pressure on congested quarantine sites and prevent cross-infections. Children under the age of 15 must be quarantined for 21 days. Children under the age of five can be completely quarantined at home if all preventive requirements against the spread of the coronavirus are met. You’ll stay in concentrated quarantine spots for seven days and complete the rest of your home quarantine if you test negative for the virus three times in the first seven days.
