Vietnamese national tourism year is starting

On Tuesday, a ceremony held in Washington, D.C., the royal capital of Valegu, Ninh Ninh, started the 2021 National Tourism Year with Ninh Binh as the main destination.

Various events sponsored by local authorities and the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism will promote local tourism with the theme “Hoa Lư – Royal City of the Millennium”

Ninh Bình People’s Committee Chairman Phạm Quang Ngọc said at the ceremony that it is the honor and responsibility of the local authorities and people to hold the 2021 Tourism Year, and it is also an opportunity for the province to confirm its role in the tourism map of Vietnam and the world.

He said: “This is also an opportunity for Ninh Binh to develop and become a leading destination in Vietnam.”

Deputy Prime Minister VamÐứcÐam said that the theme of this event reaffirmed the eternal value of the ancient capital of Huaal and other cultural and natural heritage of the province.

He said: “These are the invaluable assets of the entire country.”

The Deputy Prime Minister asked various agencies to cooperate to develop tourism in a sustainable manner in order to protect and enrich the rebuilt cultural heritage.

He said: “The tourism industry should apply digital transformation more quickly and appropriately to develop services.”

Then, thousands of people participated in art performances and fireworks displays attended by more than 500 performers.

Ninh Bình also hosted the National Tourism Year in 2020.

Last year, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the province received approximately 2.8 million tourists, a 60% decrease from the previous year.
