Taiz – Yemen Military conflict, economic deterioration, and other factors worsened the condition of the youngest children in Yemen. Doctors in Taiz,  southern Yemen, confirmed that cases of severe malnutrition rose to the highest level among children under 5.  More than half a million cases were recorded in parts of Yemen, in the southern directorates of the country. The director of the health office in Taiz appealed to the World Food Program, international organizations, and donors to work hard to address this issue, as it is one of the most important issues related to food security at the country level. The United Nations believes that the actual number of cases is likely to exceed this due to the deterioration of factors creating malnutrition in Yemen in 2020
