Under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, the two-day Arab Media Forum kicked off today in Madinat Jumeirah in Dubai. Participants in the forum, the largest media event of its kind in the region, include more than 3,000 government officials, leaders of Emirati, Arab and international media organizations, chief editors of newspapers, renowned writers, thinkers, and those involved in the media sector across the Arab world. The forum, which celebrates its 20th anniversary in this edition, includes a number of main sessions discussion sessions, twenty-minute sessions, and workshops, through will present a large number of topics related to media’s ability to present a beneficial message that helps the Arab world face challenges that surround it, and enhances its future opportunities. The forum presents the most important topics of concern in the media sector, whether print, visual, audio or digital media, within a comprehensive framework aimed at setting clear frameworks of what is required to develop the sector, taking into account multifaceted variables and dimensions of influence that surround media, regionally and globally.
