Indian men taken into protective custody after call to human trafficking hotline

2 Indian men are in protective custody in Sihanoukville today after the company that they were working at was raided by police.

General Khieu Sopheak, Secretary of State and spokesman for the Ministry of Interior said stated that Immigration police forces visited the location of Tasikang Company in Group 8, Village 1, Sangkat 3, Sihanoukville at 7:15 pm on September 3 and removed the 2 men

The men have been named KHAN SARTAJ, a 26-year-old Indian man, and JAGADISH DAMMADI, a 27-year-old Indian man.

General Khieu Sopheak added that, with the cooperation of the owner of the above location, the police force arrested an 18-year-old Malaysian male manager named TEAN XIAO PIN and removed him from Sihanoukville Provincial Police.

The manager claimed that the men are not being unlawfully detained.

Currently, the police force of the Office of Investigation and Procedural Enforcement is continuing to interrogate to continue the procedure.
