Hindering the election of the new president is an attempt by The Coordination Framework to force Muqtada Al-Sadr to let them be part of the new government in accordance with the consensus of winning candidates and the political participation practice being followed for many years.

However Al-Sadr is determined to form a national consensus government.

The Coordination Framework aims to form a joint committee with the Sadr bloc to elect a new prime minister. On the other hand, The Sovereignty Alliance and The Kurdistan Democratic Party are committed to their association with the Sadr bloc as part of The Saving the Homeland Coalition.

Ihsan Al-Shamari, head of Al-Tafkir Political Center believes that Al-Sadr was able to win against The Coordination Framework by hindering the formation of a new government.

He said that the next step will be forcing The Coordination Framework to form a national consensus government without interference or opposition.
