Training course on human rights for law enforcement officers in Aden

Al-Manara Center for Development and Human Rights in Aden started a training course entitled “The Role of Law Enforcement Officers in Serving Human Rights and Ensuring the Proper Law Enforcement During Arrest, Inspection, and Collection of Evidence”.

The course, in which 25 trainees from the officers and members of the General Department of Criminal Investigation in Aden will participate, is sponsored by the Civil Network for Media, Development and Human Rights.

Head of the network, Mahmoud Shaif, praised the efforts of the law enforcement officers in enforcing the law during arrest, detention, and collecting evidence, pointing out the importance of this course to enhance their roles.

The two-day course focus on; national legal standards for human rights in the evidence-gathering phase, international standards for ethical and legal police behavior, and international standards for the rights of those subjected to any form of detention or arrest.
