The Majnoon Oil Field Production and Development Authority, affiliated with the Basra Oil Company, has launched two projects to support and enhance production in the field.

The first is a water treatment plant and the other is drilling and connecting 28 production wells in the field. The water treatment project includes a pumping station from Shatt al-Arab, a 12-inch transmission pipe for a distance of 28 km, and a filtration and treatment station.

The station treats water and pumps it to a CPF1 station for the removal of salts in the insulators of the main station.

The station will provide water for human use, while the largest portion will be used for oil separation in production stations. As for the good drilling and linking project, it aims to support production in the Majnoon field by connecting 28 wells within the Hartha, Zubair, Ibn Omar, and Mushrif reservoirs. All wells have been connected to and brought into production stations.
