The Israeli authorities approved the issuance of family unification ID for 10,000 people living abroad, for the first time, as part of recent understandings with Palestinian President, Mahmoud Abbas. This file has been pending between the Palestinian and Israeli sides for more than 26 years. Citizens and refugees from all Arab countries who returned to Palestine under the Oslo Agreement suffer the deprivation of their identity and inability to travel abroad for work or treatment, nor to travel to perform Hajj and Umrah and many other hardships. This decision brought awesome happiness for the citizens who celebrated in front of the Ministry of Civil Affairs, in Gaza, where they expressed their excitement by distributing sweets for the end of their suffering and their obtaining family reunification.
