Experts Warn of an Imminent Economic Collapse in Kurdistan

Economic experts in Sulaymaniyah warned from the economic fallouts of soaring imports as no governmental reforms seem to support the local products. In this respect, the government hasn’t scaled-up national investment or even supported factories. Moreover, the Importer & exporter Union of Iraqi Kurdistan region announced that during 2021, various goods worth 18 billion were imported from foreign countries, particularly from Iran and Turkey, which drew economic experts’ controversy.
