The parents of a teenager suspected of a school shooting that left four dead have been arrested in Detroit hours after going on the run, say US media.
James and Jennifer Crumbley had failed to show up in court on Friday after being charged with involuntary manslaughter.
The couple are accused of ignoring warning signs before their son’s alleged rampage.
They were detained after their car was spotted and police called, reports say.
Officers from Detroit police and the US Marshals – a federal law enforcement service – searched the area near downtown Detroit and located the couple in a basement.
The US Marshalls had offered a $10,000 reward for information leading to their arrest.
The Crumbleys’ lawyer had earlier told agencies that the couple were not fleeing law enforcement – instead they had left town on the night of the shooting “for their own safety”.
Ethan Crumbley, 15, is accused of using his father’s gun to shoot classmates in Michigan. He has pleaded not guilty.
He is said to have opened fire on fellow students and teachers at his school in Oxford, about 35 miles (60 km) north of Detroit, on Tuesday.
The four killed were Tate Myre, 16, Madisyn Baldwin, 17, Hana St Juliana, 14, and Justin Shilling, 17. Seven others were injured.
Ethan Crumbley is being charged as an adult, and is facing one count of terrorism, four counts of first-degree murder, seven counts of assaults with intent to murder and 12 counts of possession of a firearm.
