Outgoing Lao Ambassador to Cambodia, Amphay Kindavong, thanked Cambodia for its support towards Laos and the Lao people, especially during the Covid-19 pandemic.
The remark was made by Ambassador Kindavong during his farewell meeting with National Assembly President, Heng Samrin, on the morning of December 28. This was the latest farewell meeting by Ambassador Kindavong to signify the end of his diplomatic tenure.
The Lao Ambassador praised and thanked Cambodia for its continued support for Laos, especially in the fight against the pandemic. Ambassador Kindavong thanked Cambodia for donating vaccines and other medical supplies to Laos despite the country also combatting the pandemic.
National Assembly President Samrin praised and appreciated the efforts of Ambassador Kindavong’s diplomatic mission in Cambodia over the past three years, which have brought many achievements and actively contributed to the promotion of traditional friendship, solidarity, and cooperation in all fields between the Royal Government and the people of Cambodia and Laos.
Assembly President Samrin stressed that despite the Ambassador’s tenure in Cambodia being interrupted by the pandemic, bilateral cooperation between Cambodia and Laos has continued.
On behalf of the National Assembly of Cambodia, Assembly President Samrin said that he was pleased with the fruits of the two governments’ cooperation in the fields of politics, diplomacy, economy, trade, investment, tourism, education, and vocational training. Development and mutual benefit.
Ambassador Kindavong thanked the President of the National Assembly as well as the National Assembly of Cambodia for their good cooperation in contributing to the success of his diplomatic mission.
