Iraq is among the highest countries with the number of missing people

On the International Day of the Disappeared, a report by the International Committee of the Red Cross revealed that the successive conflicts and acts of violence that ravaged Iraq, resulted in the loss of hundreds of thousands of people. According to civil activists, ISIS kidnapped thousands of citizens from several Iraqi governments, while liberating areas from the organization’s control. Media reports showed the presence of unknown armed groups accused of kidnapping many innocents in separate locations, which also affected several activists following the start of the October revolution.
