Mongolia: 1792 new COVID-19 cases

The Ministry of Health reported that 1,792 new confirmed COVID-19 cases were reported in Mongolia after 11,720 tests in the last 24 hours, 1,280 of the new confirmed cases were reported in the city of Ulaanbaatar, while 511 were discovered in rural areas. A citizen who arrived from Afghanistan on June 4 tested positive for the virus. As a result, the total number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in Mongolia has increased to 73,869. 196 people have been discharged from the hospital in the past 24 hours, bringing the number of recoveries to 56,499. Nine people have also been reported to have died of COVID-19, bringing the country’s death toll to 351.
