Pfizer Thailand has filed an application with the Thai Food and Drug Administration (FDA) for home use of its Covid-19 vaccine, while the Royal Chulabhorn Academy (CRA) is hoping to launch its own private supply of the Sinopharm vaccine. FDA secretary-general Paisal Dunkhum said the agency had received the request from Pfizer Thailand and the review process was ongoing. On Thursday, the government said it had approved an order for 20 million doses of Pfizer’s coronavirus vaccine for import in the fourth quarter. Health Minister Anutin Charnvirakul said the Pfizer injections will be given to college students because the vaccine is safe for anyone aged 12 and over.
