The airport department announced the progress of the airport development project under its management at the end of April. The construction of the new passenger terminal at Khon Kaen Airport has been 77% completed. The terminal is expected to double the size of the airport. It can receive 1,000 to 2,000 passengers per hour, or about 5 million passengers per year. The construction of the third passenger terminal of Krabi International Airport and the renovation of the first and second terminal buildings have been completed by 51%. Increase the airport’s capacity from 1,500 to 3,000 per hour, or approximately 8 million passengers per year. The construction of the new passenger terminal in Nakhon Si Thammarat has been completed 41%. 450 to 1600 people per hour, or about 4 million people per year. The construction of the new passenger terminal at Trang Airport has been 13% completed. The terminal is expected to increase the airport’s capacity from 600 to 1,200 people per hour, or about 3.4 million passengers per year doubling.
