Experts: Forming a Specialized Court for ISIS Atrocities will Lay the Ground for Prosecuting its Members
Experts in the Iraqi security affairs illustrated that Baghdad is moving forward in constituting a court specialized in ISIS crimes. The parliament is drafting a law for instituting such a court that would view ISIS crimes and then prosecute perpetrators. Experts indicated the such a law would be of paramount importance in setting a database that documents ISIS crimes and would be utilized as a reference in international courts, given the fact that ISIS atrocities weren’t confined to Iraq but spread into many countries around the world.
