Cambodia announces 3 deaths due to COVID, nearly 100 deaths in total

The Cambodian Ministry of Health announced that three other Cambodians, namely COVID-19, have died, a 61-year-old male, a 67-year-old female and a 76-year-old female. All three deaths occurred in the Khmer-Soviet Friendship Hospital in Phnom Penh.

The first person to die was a 61-year-old Cambodian who lived in Sangkat Phsar Kandal, Khan Daun Penh andthe Phnom Penh. were hospitalized on April 24, 2021. A history of fever, cough, fatigue and diabetes at 10:00 pm;  the sample has been confirmed to be positive for COVID-19. As the disease progresses, the patient develops severe respiratory failure and requires thorough technical assistance from the medical team, including the use of a ventilator. Unfortunately, the man died at 3:05 pm on April 30, 2021. The cause of death was acute respiratory distress and pneumonia caused by the COVID-19 virus in diabetic patients.

The second death was a 67-year-old Cambodian woman who lived in Sangkat Ta Sangcock in Khan Rashi Kee, Phnom Penh. At 10:04 pm on April 29, 2021, the woman had a fever, cough, malnutrition, and a history of diabetes. When he arrived at the hospital, she was positive for COVID-19.As the disease progresses, the patient develops severe shortness of breath, requiring serious technical assistance from the medical team, including the use of a ventilator. Unfortunately, the woman died at 3:10 am on April 30, 2021. The death was due to acute respiratory distress and pneumonia caused by the COVID-19 virus in diabetic patients.

The third death was a 76-year-old Cambodian woman who lived in Sangkat Stung Minchi, Khan Minchi and Phnom Penh on April 28, 2021 At 3:04 in the morning, she was admitted to the hospital with fever and cough. Upon arrival, her sample was confirmed to be positive for COVID-19. As the disease progresses, patients experience severe shortness of breath, which requires the medical team to provide thorough technical assistance, including the use of ventilators.Unfortunately, this woman died at 3:15 am on April 30, 2021. The cause of death was acute respiratory distress in diabetic patients and pneumonia caused by the COVID-19 virus.
