Both the Quezon City and the Manila City governments have already distributed financial aid from the national government to over 75 percent of their target beneficiaries after 14 days.

In a Facebook post on Wednesday, the QC government said that 76.79 percent of their beneficiaries have already received cash aid.

The financial aid was given to families and individuals affected by the recent imposition of the enhanced community quarantine (ECQ) in the National Capital Region (NCR) plus bubble.

Barangay Bagong Silangan was the latest from among 17 barangays in Quezon City to receive financial aid.

Beneficiaries are entitled to receive either P4,000 for a family of four or more, or PHP1,000 for each member of a family of three or less.

Meanwhile, the QC government has also assigned a Grievance Committee in each of their distribution centers.

Those who wish to appeal, or file complaints or queries regarding the distribution of financial aid may directly approach any of the committee members.

The QC government also registers cash aid beneficiaries on-site to the QCitizen ID.

Through the QCitizen ID, it would be easier for the city government to distribute other basic services to their constituents in the future.

Meanwhile, about 286,147 families, or 75 percent of the total beneficiaries in Manila have received their cash aid from the national government.

The Manila Department of Social Welfare (MDSW) has been distributing the financial air for the past two weeks.

To prevent the further spread of Covid-19, the city government ensures that minimum health and safety protocols such as the wearing of face masks and face shields and that safe physical distancing are being followed.
