Amid soaring prices following the Syrian regime’s decision to close down Al Tabqah crossing that connects regime-held areas to SDF-held areas, greengrocers in Ar Raqqah are struggling to stay afloat. Greengrocers complained that the crops they receive are mostly rotten because of the considerable route they pass through before reaching the merchants, accordingly, they were coerced into obtaining crops through smuggling which cost them hefty amounts.
