Festival to revive the tangible and intangible heritage of local Syrian cultures

The Malfa Arts Center organized an exhibition on the revival of the intangible heritage in Al-Hasakah governorate, which highlighted the production of six months of work for training topics for girls and youth. The project involved several exercises and training workshops on the art of embroidery and engraving on cotton fabric utilizing cotton thread that is popular for Syria, as well as making Reeds, straw and baskets, for aesthetic showpieces in houses, the purpose of these is to develop the heritage taste of the region. 19 girls from various governorates of northern and eastern Syria have participated in the activity; they were trained for a continuous duration of 4 months amid the Corona pandemic, which hindered training activities.
