Thailand- Initiative to recycle the plastic bottles into Buddhist monks robes

Chak Dang Temple, Bangkok, Thailand, has launched an initiative to protect the environment through calling for donations of plastic bottles to recycle them and turning them into monks’ robes where the bottles are processed into synthetic fibers and used to make robes. The up-cycling initiative has already recycled 40 tons of plastic since its inception last year.
