Syria: Sisters in their Sixties Celebrate their Heritage by Weaving Carpets

Despite the fact that handcrafted carpet is no longer common, Sitee and Qamri Mustafa make their living through such craft in northern and eastern Syria. They illustrated that most women in the region used to work in carpet production for free. Sitee pointed out that demand for handmade carpets dwindled drastically especially in light of the factories that produce carpets that aren’t only modern but colourful and of high quality.
