Iran is Playing with the Electricity Card to Pile Pressure on Iraq

 Experts of Iraqi affairs slammed successive governments for their failure to address the ever-lasting electricity crisis. They illustrated that Iraq has had the capability to reach self-sufficiency in a five years span. Rampant corruption and neighboring countries’ political leverage over Iraq have made it impossible to realize self-sufficiency. The Iranian regime is playing with the electricity crisis card in Iraq to further its interests.
