The United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights, Michel Bachelet, condemned on Tuesday, direct strikes or near camps for displaced persons and medical and educational facilities in northwestern Syria, noting that nearly 300 civilians were killed in these attacks this year.

She said that 93 percent of these people were victims of strikes carried out by the Syrian government and its ally Russia, in what it described as “dismay at the scale of the humanitarian crisis”, adding that “such strikes may amount to war crimes.”
