Egypt calls for holding the situation in Iraq after the assassination of Soleimani

The Egyptian Foreign Ministry issued a statement clarifying that Egypt is following the rapid developments in Iraq “with great concern”, calling for containing the situation and “avoiding any escalation”, after a US air strike in which Qassem Soleimani, commander of the Quds Force of the Iranian Revolutionary Guards, was assassinated in Baghdad.
