Sistani calls for the selection of a new prime minister without outside interference

Grand Ayatollah Ali al-Sistani has called on political leaders to choose the new Iraqi prime minister without outside interference, saying he would have no role in choosing a successor to former prime minister Adel Abdul Mahdi, who resigned last week.
