Protests escalated in Iraq on Monday, with demonstrations, cutting roads and bridges with burning tires in the south, to condemn the ruling class, which has so far failed to agree to name a new prime minister, in addition to the start of civil disobedience in some cities in the south of the country, as schools and government departments closed their doors.
