The Arab League rejects the American situation on the legality of Israeli settlements

The Arab League on Monday formally rejected a US decision not to consider Israeli settlements in the occupied Palestinian territories illegal, saying the move was a threat to peace and a flagrant violation of international law.

“Above all, the Palestinians will negotiate with the Israelis if there is no occupied land or settlers usurping the land,” said Ahmed Aboul Gheit, secretary-general of the Arab League.
