23 Palestinians killed as a result of the second day of shelling in Gaza

Israeli air strikes killed 13 Palestinians in Gaza on Wednesday, bringing the total death toll to 23 in two days of escalating violence since Israel killed a leader of the Islamic Jihad militant group in a strike in the territory, medical officials said.
