On Sunday, Kuwait’s Constitutional Court announced that the outcomes of the 2022 National Assembly elections were deemed null and void, and decided to restore the dissolved parliament of 2020.
According to the state news agency KUNA, the court invalidated the election process that occurred last September because of inconsistencies in the decree that disbanded the 2020 National Assembly. As a result, with the annulment of the 2022 election outcomes in five constituencies, the members of the 2020 parliament have been reinstated.
