Suspension Of Navigational Traffic At Baghdad International Airport Due To Weather Conditions

Today, the Baghdad International Airport administration announced the suspension of navigation due to bad weather.

And she said in a post on her account on the social networking site “Twitter”: “Disclaimer… The Baghdad International Airport administration would like to clarify to all our valued passengers and airlines operating at the airport that the navigational movement has stopped, due to weather conditions and the visibility reaching less than 400 meters.”

“You will be informed of the nature of any developments related to air traffic at the airport,” she added.

On the other hand, the authorities announced the closure of schools in several governorates due to bad weather.

And the Wasit Education Directorate announced in a statement that school hours will be suspended today.

For its part, Salah al-Din Governorate announced the suspension of official working hours in all schools in the governorate, on Mondays, with the exception of schools in Balad district.

A statement by the Salah al-Din governor’s office, published by the agency, stated, “The governor of Salah al-Din, Ismail Khudair al-Halub, directed the suspension of official working hours in all schools in the province (…) in response to the demands of the people throughout the cities of the province, due to bad weather conditions, and the difficulty of moving between roads as a result of the formation of Dense fog in the early morning hours.

The Dhi Qar governorate was subjected to heavy rains that continued throughout the hours of Friday night – Saturday, and resulted in material damage to a number of homes and residential neighborhoods in some cities of the governorate, as the cities of Nasiriyah and Al-Rifai in the north of the governorate recorded the highest levels of rainfall during this year, at 37 mm.
