The third Baghdad International Book Fair, which was named after “Hadi Al-Alawi”, an Iraqi thinker, historian and linguist, kicked off on December 7 and will last for ten days, featuring over 350 Iraqi and Arab publishing houses representing 20 countries.
The exhibition includes many intellectual and cultural activities and sessions in which Arab thinkers and writers participate, in addition to poetry sessions and book signing ceremonies.
The event aims to enhance the contribution to spreading the habit of reading and facilitating the circulation of books to enrich the cultural movement, as the exhibition is a forum for exchanging ideas and learning about the customs and traditions of peoples and their intellectual products, according to the organizers.
