Tunisia hosts the first International Fair of Energy Transition (SITE) on the initiative of the Tunisian Photovoltaic Union Chamber CSPV in cooperation with the Tunisian Union of Industry, Trade and Handicrafts to discuss the transition to a low-carbon economy.

The three-day event, running until October 21, brings together all those working in the renewable energy sector, representatives of the public sector in Tunisia and abroad, and senior officials, representing Tunisian and foreign public and private structures.

The exhibition, which was held at the headquarters of the Tunisian Union of Industry, Trade and Handicrafts in Tunisia, focuses on the role of the private sector in implementing the national strategy for sustainable development in Tunisia and the goals of the Tunisian solar plan.

It also aims to invest at least 10 billion dinars (about 3 billion dollars) to achieve 80% of the goals of the solar energy plan during the year 2030, which is to secure 4,500 megawatts of renewable energy during the next seven years.
