Dozens of Iraqi protesters gathered on Tuesday, in Tahrir Square in central Baghdad, to commemorate the 3rd anniversary of October Revolution, amid heavy security measures, as several main roads leading to the square were closed. The protesters raised Iraqi flags, pictures of people killed in October Revolution, and banners demanding the dismissal of political authority, as well as holding the corrupt and killers of peaceful protesters accountable. The public protests (October Revolution) took place in October 2019, in Baghdad and across governorates in central and southern Iraq, against deteriorating economic and political conditions, financial and administrative corruption, and unemployment.
