Thousands of displaced persons in Rabat camp in Lahij governorate in southern Yemen, struggle with food insecurity. The United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees describes the crisis in Yemen as the worst humanitarian crisis in the world, estimating that 66% of the country’s population, equivalent to 21 million Yemenis, are in need of humanitarian aid, including 4 million internally displaced persons. Displaced persons told A24 that living conditions are deteriorating in Rabat camp, demanding real support from international and humanitarian organizations. UN organization reported in a statement that one out of every eight Yemenis is displaced, and that about 172,000 people have been displaced recently, most of them within Marib governorate, which hosts 55% of the total number of internally displaced persons, along with Hajjah, Hudaydah and Taiz governorates.
