Asian Weightlifting Championships in Bahrain

Under the patronage of Sheikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, President of the Bahrain Olympic Committee, the opening ceremony of 2022 Asian Weightlifting Championship was held in the conference hall in Manama. The event is organized by the Bahrain Weightlifting Federation under the supervision of the Asian Weightlifting Federation, and will run from 6th to16th of October. Participating teams will compete in 3 competitions in this tournament: snatch lift, clean and jerk lift. The Asian Weightlifting Federation has set 10 weight categories for men. The AFC Referee Committee has picked 52 international referees, including 8 Bahraini referees, to run the competitions for this edition of the international sporting event.
