Protesters in Nisour Square demand reforms

Dozens of citizens organized a protest this Friday afternoon in Nisour Square in capital Baghdad, to demand putting an end to corruption and quotas, as well forming a “national salvation” government with absolute power.

Tishreen movement protesters raised Iraqi flags, pictures of killed protesters and banners calling for reforms and Iran’s non-interference in internal affairs. Protesters that A24 interviewed, denounced conflicts between political parties and political forces; accused them of destroying Iraq. Protesters also called for constitutional amendments.
