Jordanian Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ayman Safadi stated today, Tuesday, that “any proposition other than two-state solution would be absurd and useless” with regards to resolving Palestinian-Israeli conflict. Foreign Minister Safadi stated during a press conference held today, Tuesday, with Bahraini Foreign Minister Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani in Jordanian capital Amman, that the Palestinian issue was at the forefront of his talks with his Bahraini counterpart. Safadi said that talks confirmed, “a just and comprehensive peace is achieved through meeting all legitimate rights of Palestinian people, the most important of which is their right to freedom and independence through two-state solution in accordance with international law and the Arab Peace Initiative.” Safadi welcomed the ceasefire announced in Yemen. He also declared support for stability in Syria and Iraq. Al Zayani emphasized ways to strengthen Jordanian-Bahraini relations in many vital sectors that would benefit both countries. He stressed the need for joint cooperation and coordination of efforts aimed at political solutions that consolidate peace and prosperity for countries in the region.
