The Israeli forces carried out an operation targeting the assassination of Ibrahim Al-Nabulsi, the leader of the Al-Aqsa Martyrs Brigades of the Fatah movement, in Nablus, after storming the Old City and besieging Al-Nabulsi in his home.

The Israeli army announced that during the operation an exchange of fire took place, while an Israeli army official pointed out that a shoulder-fired missile was fired during the siege of Nabulsi, which led to the killing of him and one of his comrades.

The Palestinian Ministry of Health stated that 42 Palestinians were wounded in the military operation in Nablus, 4 of them seriously. The injured were taken to a hospital despite the Israeli forces’ attempt to prevent ambulances from arriving.

An official in the Israeli security service, the Shin Bet, stated that Nabulsi, who is considered the most wanted man of the Israeli army, was responsible for shooting attacks against the army, and that explosives were found in his house.
