Celebrating first day of Eid al-Adha in Qamishli

People of Qamishli visited in the early hours of the morning the graves of their children and relatives who died in the Syrian war, to commemorate their memory on the first day of Eid al-Adha. Children went out to visit neighborhoods and greet people on Eid. Eid al-Adha this year seems to be characterized by people’s complaints about poor living conditions, lack of resources, lack of job opportunities, exacerbated poverty in most of north and east Syria, lack of basic commodities and high prices. People who are financially able are slaughtering sacrifices to give to the poor and needy, in order to help those unable to afford meat, due to its high price and the generally poor economic conditions in Syria.
