56th Carthage International Festival kicks off in Tunisia

The Carthage International Festival in its fifty-sixth edition kicked off Thursday in Tunisia after a two-year absence due to the pandemic. The event will run until 20th August, with a two-day hiatus on July 24 and 25 due to the popular referendum. “Lovers of the World” is the title of the festival’s opening show by Tunisian artist Abdelhamid Boushnak. It was a musical comedy of some popular songs in the 90s. Inspired by a famous TV series, director Boushnak turned it into a show featuring Tunisian actors and musicians.
