Tunisia launches 5th edition of Street Circus International Festival

The fifth edition of the Street Circus International Festival has kicked off in the Tunisia capital, Tunis, featuring various performance artists from different countries around the world.

The event, which runs from June 23rd through June 28th, took place in public squares in Tunis and other governorates.

Artists from about ten countries including France, Chile, Sweden, Spain, Germany, Guinea, and Italy, are participating in the festival, which was first held in 2018.

Performing arts involved in the event included physical acts, drama, spoken word, puppetry, and circus arts.

In the opening show, the Paparoni Circus on Avenue Habib Bourguiba presented an acrobatic show that involved tightrope walking while using unicycles and fireworks, in amazing dance moves.
