Journalists in Istanbul protest the killing of Shireen Abu Aqleh

Dozens of Palestinian and Arab journalists residing in Istanbul staged a sit-in outside the Israeli Consulate, to express their sadness and anger over the killing of the Palestinian journalist, Shireen Abu Aqleh while she was covering the events in Jenin.

The journalists praised their colleague Abu Aqleh and her distinguished career, which many media professionals were inspired by, calling on the international community to open an urgent investigation and hold those responsible accountable.
