Displaced Syrians refuse to leave their camps; demanding their right to return home

The Syrian regime and its Russian and Iranian allies have used various methods to suppress the protesters and the opposition, including the continuous Russian bombing of liberated areas in Idlib and Aleppo countryside.

War in Syria killed more than a million people, more than half a million people were arrested, millions were displaced, and millions sought refuge in various countries of the world.

Local and international organizations began implementing campaigns to transfer the displaced people from the temporary camps to apartments established to alleviate their suffering.

Expansion of these campaigns and talks about sending refugees to the opposition-controlled areas generated concerns among Syrians about permanent residence in these new areas. Many Syrians refused these measures, demanding their right to return to their homes from which they were forcibly displaced.
