Cambodian authorities continues crackdown on weapons and other crimes in Preah Sihanouk

In the face of crimes in Preah Sihanouk, the authorities have launched inspections and crackdowns to combat illegal activities.

Major General Chuon Narin, Preah Sihanouk Provincial Police Commissioner, continues to assign joint police forces to inspect and suppress crimes at key locations in Sihanoukville. The Commissioner assigned Lieutenant Colonel Din Lykro, to conduct a search for weapons, explosives and other crimes.

The Commissioner led the Special Intervention Force, in cooperation with the Department of Water Border Protection and the light penitentiary, to patrol, the residential and coastal areas of the provincial capital.

With the reports of crimes in Preah Sihanouk, authorities have vowed to crackdown on illegal activities. Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Sar Kheng has vowed to put an end to crimes taking place in the province.

While illegal activities have taken place in the province, outlandish claims of bizarre crimes have also been raised against Preah Sihanouk. The authorities of the province have denounced all the claims and stated that they tarnish the reputation of the province.
