Yemenis welcome the new decisions and the formation of the Presidential Leadership Council

Yemenis in Aden governorate welcomed the new decisions of President Abd Rabbuh Mansour Hadi including the dismissal of his deputy, Ali Mohsen al-Ahmar, and the formation of a presidential leadership council to complete the implementation of the tasks of the transitional phase, while the Council delegate all the powers of the President.

Citizens expressed their hope that the new decisions would contribute to stopping the war and improving their living conditions, and be effective in the long term. The new Presidential Council includes Rashad Al-Alimi as Chairman, and the membership of Sultan Al-Arada, Brigadier General Tariq Saleh, Abdul Rahman Al-Muharrami, Abdullah Al-Alimi, Othman Majali, Aidarous Al-Zubaidi, Faraj Al-Bahsani.

Both Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates welcomed the new step, and Riyadh urged the new Presidential Leadership Council to engage in negotiations with the parties to the conflict under the supervision of the United Nations to reach a final and comprehensive political solution.
