Takeo provincial authorities conduct clean up of public parks

Taing Meng Lean, Deputy Governor of Kandal, led a delegation to conduct cleanup garbage and litter in a public park to protect the environment and prepare for the Khmer New Year.

The Deputy Governor led the delegation of government workers and volunteers to clean up the Bassac River Park in Takhmao City on April 5.

During the clean-up, Deputy Governor Meng Lean required all forces to push the slag and collect other garbage from the river bank and stated that the work of environmental sanitation is very important for the province. He urged all people to cooperate to improve the beauty of the river.

The Deputy Governor instructed the Cambodian Muslims who have fishing boats docked along the river bank to move to a designated location, so the river can be cleaned.

The administration is also preparing for the Khmer New Year with the organization of events for the residents. The events also include traditional dances and contemporary music performances.
